I research topics, outline structure and design, produce full-length pieces, create or match styles, define purpose (inform, instruct, persuade, communicate, and/or entertain), draft, rewrite, and draft some more.
…As An Editor
I polish prose, consult on ideas, analyze and evaluate purpose, refine formatting, execute strategy, maintain style guidelines, track progress and communications, and wordsmith until the piece shines.
…As A Word Nerd
I collect paraphernalia embossed with word puns, answer all my friends’ grammar questions, wax poetic over beautiful diction, defend the Oxford comma’s supremacy, and constantly ask “who wrote that?” when reading/watching TV.
