Class Curriculum
Thirteen week middle school level curriculum for a novel study for the exclusive use of Silver Creek Academic Academy (SCA) students and teachers.
The Course
Requirements
An advanced reading comprehension course with rotating novels on the quarter system to teach students literary analysis.
- 12-13 weeks
- 6-12 students/class
- 1 full-length paper
- 2 projects
- Weekly chapter quizzes
- 1 final exam
Execution
Weekly Socratic seminars to discuss the novel together and guide students through analysis of the text followed by in-class time to work on ongoing projects.
